What is the difference between knitted and woven?
The most obvious difference between woven and knitting is: woven is made by interweaving warp and weft, so there are two directions of warp and weft. But knitting is made up of a loop that is continuously tacked, so it has a certain degree of flexibility.
As for the feel, it is affected by a series of yarn counts, weaving methods, and finishing. But generally knitted fabrics feel softer. For example, the underwear and sweaters we wear are representative of knitted fabrics. The suits, shirts, and jeans we wear are all woven fabrics.
In addition to shirts and chiffon, summer tops are mostly knitted T-shirts. Woven fabrics are generally used for coats, shirts, and pants.
